Sauce
-4 Tbsp soy sauce
-2 Tbsp sesame oil
-2 Tbsp brown sugar or honey
-4 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
Stir-fry
-1 Tbsp sesame oil
-1 lb. lean ground beef
-3 cloves garlic, minced
-1 bag cole slaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
-4 scallions, sliced
-(optional) sesame seeds and sriracha for garnish
In a small bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients, then set aside.
Heat the sesame oil in a stir-fry pan over medium heat. Add the beef, cook, breaking up with a wooden spoon, until beef is cooked through, about 10 minutes. Drain off fat. Add garlic to the pan, cook 1 additional minute, stirring constantly. Add cole slaw mix, cook, stirring intermittently, until vegetables have softened, about 8 minutes. Stir in sauce, cook 2 additional minutes, stirring. Remove from heat, stir in scallions and serve, topping with sesame seeds and sriracha, if desired.
