I had a bunch of apples needing to be used and decided to bake them and turn them into a healthy snack. Baking fruits and vegetables that have passed their prime is a great way to enhance the flavor and use them up. Theses apple slices are great on their own, or would be great over oatmeal or ice cream.
-4 apples, peeled and cut into wedges
-1 Tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
-1 Tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
Toss cut apples with butter/coconut oil and maple syrup/brown sugar. Place apples in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes, until apples are tender.
