If you’re craving brisket but don’t own a smoker, this recipe has you covered. Nothing beats the flavor and texture of a good low and slow smoked brisket, but this version makes it possible to enjoy an easy brisket any day of the week. You can slice it or shred it and serve it with buns, and with your favorite BBQ sides. This sauce has a nice balance of sweet, smokey, tangy and spicy flavors so you’ll want to spoon it all over the meat.

To make this #dinnerdoneby9am I throw everything in my slow cooker, walk away, and come back 10 hours later to slice and serve.

-1 c beef broth
-1/3 c ketchup
-1/3 c chili sauce
-1/3 c brown sugar
-2 Tbsp liquid smoke
-1/2 tsp paprika
-3/4 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-1/2 tsp black pepper
-1/2 teaspoons onion powder
-1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
-1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
-1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
-1 onion, sliced
-4 cloves garlic, minced
-3-4 pound brisket, fat trimmed

Grease a slow cooker. Add broth- thyme and stir. Add onion and garlic, stir. Place brisket on top of sauce, then spoon sauce over top. Cook on low 8-10 hours. Then slice or shred to serve and spoon plenty of sauce over top.
