As a child, I remember frequently enjoying Chinese food out, and the green beans were always my favorite item to order. This recipe is a great take on the popular Chinese style green beans.
To make these #dinnerdoneby9am I boil the green beans and toss them in the sauce in the morning, refrigerate all day and reheat just prior to serving.
-1 Tbsp peanut or sesame oil
-1 pound fresh or frozen whole green beans, trimmed
-1 Tbsp sugar
-2 Tbsp oyster sauce
-1 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
-2 Tbsp soy sauce
-(optional) sesame seeds for garnish
Fill a medium pot with water and bring to a boil. Add the green beans, boiling for 5 minutes. Drain beans. Whisk sugar, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce and soy sauce together in a small bowl. Return the beans to the dried out pot, over medium heat and stir in sauce. Continue to cook until beans reach your desired tenderness, then serve immediately.

I made these last night and they were awesome!! I cooked them on the grill in a pan and used extra virgin olive oil instead of sesame oil because I didn't have any. I also added some sesame seeds. They were delicious! Thanks for sharing!!
So glad that you enjoyed them! Adding sesame seeds does sound good, or maybe even red pepper flakes for a little heat.
